Why Vintage?
In a world teeming with thousands of unique vintage vessels, there lies an exciting treasure hunt waiting for us. These vessels, once forgotten, now beckon to be repurposed into something truly beautiful. While mass-produced items have their place, there’s an undeniable allure in stumbling upon that one-of-a-kind piece—the kind that carries history and character.
For me, the magic lies in vintage vessels. Their weathered surfaces, soft patina, and timeless appeal have always been special to me. And so, I’ve chosen to breathe new life into them by creating candles. Each Bushel + Peck piece is meticulously hand-picked and thoughtfully designed. Whether enjoyed as a candle or repurposed into home decor, these vessels become part of a sustainable cycle—one that doesn’t end in waste.
Join me in celebrating the art of preservation and minimizing our environmental footprint. Let’s cherish these vessels, transforming them from forgotten relics into cherished keepsakes.

About Bushel + Peck
Established on April 15, 2019, Bushel + Peck is a cherished local business nestled in the heart of Dothan, Alabama. The driving force behind this endeavor is none other than Laura Moore, a passionate advocate for natural candles that infuse your home with delightful scents and warm feelings.
The name Bushel + Peck was thoughtfully chosen, drawing inspiration from the popular 1950s song, “A Bushel and a Peck.” The lyrics—“I love you a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”—resonate deeply with Laura. She wants every interaction with Bushel + Peck products to evoke that same sense of familial love and warmth—a heartfelt hug around the neck.
What sets Bushel + Peck apart? Each product is meticulously handcrafted, lovingly poured in small batches. Laura’s commitment to quality shines through as she selects only the finest materials. Rest assured, no harmful chemicals find their way into your home through Bushel + Peck’s offerings.
And here’s the best part: these sustainable candle vessels need not be discarded. They can be repurposed as timeless home decor, ensuring that their beauty lives on. At Bushel + Peck, we invite you to embrace our company with the same affection we pour into our creations—a bushel and a peck!
