Bushel + Peck is located at 1861 West Main Street, Suite 1 in Dothan, Alabama. Our space serves as both a workspace and a retail location. We're open to the public on the first Friday of every month during Dothan’s First Friday Art Crawl from 5:30-8:00pm, you can always schedule a private shopping appointment with Laura. 2022-May 2024:

When I embarked on my candle-making journey back in 2019, in the cozy confines of my kitchen, little did I know where this adventure would lead. Along the way, my candles found their way to over 30+ locations. Then, in 2021, an unexpected opportunity knocked on my door—an email titled “business idea.” It was an invitation to join The Untrained Edit (TUE), and I sensed it was the next crucial step for me. TUE, masterminded by the talented Caleigh Parsons, has fostered a vibrant community where entrepreneurs, artists, and creators thrive. I’m profoundly grateful for the doors she’s opened, not just for me but for countless others.

Now, my journey is taking yet another turn. As the seasons change for my family, I’m returning to the “behind the scenes” aspect of my original business plan. Bushel + Peck will focus on online shopping, local pickup, and shipping, along with partnerships with select local businesses. Excitingly, I’ll soon have a NEW studio work space (May 1st) tucked away behind Blushing Bride (more details coming soon!). By appointment only, you can shop there and drop off your candle refills. And mark your calendars: every First Friday of the month, join me at the new space for the First Friday Art Crawl.

This new season allows me to prioritize my family and my art, while assuring you that the candles you love are here to stay. Thank you all for being part of this journey—I can’t wait to unveil the new space! 🕯️✨

We’re almost moved in! Lookout for our announcement about our BIG GRAND OPENING PARTY!

I’m EXTREMELY EXCITED to announce that Bushel + Peck will have a NEW home base. Not only will it be a place I store finished candles and do a little work, but I will be making candles at our new location! This is huge for me and if you’ve been following since the beginning you know I’ve been making ALL the candles in my kitchen for a little over 3 years now. I can’t tell you how excited and grateful I am to have grown enough to be able to FINALLY have an official home for Bushel + Peck. We (The Untrained Edit) will be moving to the corner of Main + Cherokee in August. This space is going to be amazing and like nothing Dothan has ever seen before! In the new space we will have regular business hours to come in and shop, candle making classes and so, so much more!
